You didn’t think I’d stop after the crabs, did you?!  Ha.  There are so, so many more photos to share.  I will limit them to one, or five more posts.  Just kidding.  Well, maybe.

Anyways, I hope you all had a fantastic weekend.  I will post later on our fun adventures over the weekend with our guests.  I didn’t take as many pictures as I should have, but we were having way to much fun to stop and pose for a photo.  You understand, right?  Good.  So, let’s get on with the vacation photos…

Vacation Photos, Take 1

Happy Thursday, y’all!  Yep, that’s right.  I live in Texas, therefore I can use y’all on a regular basis and not get made fun of for it.  Did you hear that?!  NOT get made fun of for it.

I have lots and lots of vacation photos for you.  We had such a fantastic time that it was hard to narrow the photos down.  You’re such loyal {d&k} followers, I want to show you everything.  You are welcome.

Our vacation was filled with beach days, sand, salt water, fresh air, and family.

We spent time on the beach everyday.  Reading, kite-flying, boogie-boarding, burying Colby in the sand, napping, laughing, and of course, drinking (have you met my family?!).

 

 

We made lots of sand castles and sculptures.  By “we” I mean everyone else and I just took pictures.

 

We watched the sun set and caught a sunrise on our last day, as we were leaving the island on the ferry.  We were sad to go, but the sunrise made it a little better.

 

 

 

Stayed tuned.  More photos to come.  Including a very funny photo of me holding a crab.  K, you’re lucky I’m posting this.  I thought that since you are such a good sport and let me post any picture I want of you, the least I could do is post this photo.  Yes, it really is that bad.

{d&k} are baaaaaaaaaack!

Hello friends! {d&k} are back from vacation and can’t wait to share our vacation photos with you! Hang tight…I’ll have them up this week!

We had a great time on vacation. It was much needed. We haven’t had a vacation in about 2 years 😦 We had to cancel our vacation (to Key Largo, aw man!) to fly to Dallas to find a house. I’m not complaining, I just really missed vacation!

We went to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. We went to Ocracoke Island, which is about a 2.5 hour ferry ride from the main land. We rented a huge house and my parents and siblings were all there. It was so good to get my whole family together, under one roof, for an entire week! That never happens! I had so much fun with my nephews, and I know k did too! Those guys are too funny! The things that come out of their mouths!

Anyways, it’s nice to be back to my normal schedule, my own bed, and the zoo. But, I do miss the beach!

So, like I said, I will post vacation pictures this week. There are a lot, so you have that to look forward to, hehe.

And, guess what {d&k} have to look forward to?! d’s bestest and her family are coming into town this weekend! We can.not wait!! There will be a lot of playing at the pool (come on, it’s 106 degrees right now…what else are we gonna do?!) and staying inside in the air conditioning. But, we will have a fantastic time…we always do!  Ooh, and there will be lots of good food eaten.  Yes, that’s right.  Eaten.

Thanks for being so patient with {d&k} while we took our break from reality and technology the last couple of weeks.

Yep, it’s that time again…

Time for another countdown!!!  Yippee!  This means {d&k} have exciting things coming up!

 

5 Days until I visit T in Phoenix (So this was super last minute…k got an email that Spirit Airlines was having a sale and that Phoenix was their featured city.  Well, conveniently T lives there and it’s been, oh, about a month since I’ve seen her (which is waaaayyyy too long) so k booked the flight for me.  For a round-trip, non-stop flight from Dallas to Phoenix it was….$60!  Are you kidding?!  So, look out Phoenix, here I come! (Well, in 5 days)

 

14 Days until Family Vacation in Outer Banks, North Carolina (I cannot wait to see everyone, especially my 2 nephews!  I will have plenty of stories and pictures…don’t you worry!)

 

27 Days until Bestest and her family are in Dallas (Again, it’s been a month since I’ve seen these guys and that’s waaaaayyyyy too long!)

 

39 Days until {d&k} are back in Ohio for a few days (d has a wedding to coordinate there and it’s my b-day, dun dun dun)

 

So, we have a ton of things to look forward to over the next 2 months.  We are so excited!  And, I can’t wait to tell you all about it!
