Treasures

Sorry for the long hiatus.  Did you miss me?  Of course you did!  That’s why I received many emails and texts telling me my blog was a little behind.  Thanks for those!  It means so much to me that you care about my boring life, hehe.

After being horribly sick last week, I finally started feeling better over the weekend so {d&k} decided to cram in as much as possible to make up for lost time.  We also had to clean the entire house.  Being sick and cleaning do not mix well for this girl.  Needless to say, the house was a disaster.  So we tackled the disaster head on and in a matter of hours the place finally felt livable. Yep, it was that bad. And, we had to get it cleaned up because MY SISTER, KT, COMES TUESDAY!!!!!!

Anyways, k was cleaning the litter box (thanks, k!) and Dog-Cat #2 came galloping down the hall, making his dying-sea-lion-like-noises, and practically tackles k to get in the litter box.  Then, he proceeds to stand there while k cleans around him.

I of course start commentating:

DC2:  NOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo.  Those are my treasures!!  Put them down!
K:  Get out!
DC2:  I worked hard on those!  DOWN. NOW.  (It really sounded like M–E–O-O-O-O–W. MEOW.)
K:  Get out now!
DC2:  DADDDDDD!!  But. My treasures.
K:  {Picks up Dog-Cat #2 and launches him out of the room}.  Ha!
DC2:  {Running full speed at k} {Thud!}.  TREASURES!!!!

At that point k was finished and Dog-Cat #2 was still in distress.  Meowing at an awfully low decibel.  Pacing back and forth in front of the litter boxes.  I can only imaging working up another “treasure” to deposit in there.  Sort of like a cat version of “take that.”

So, moral of that story:  Don’t mess with Dog-Cat #2’s treasures.  He’s pretty particular about them.  After all, he did work hard on them.

*Editor’s Note:  If you are unaware of what a treasure is, think about what a cat does in a litter box.  #1 and #2.  Treasures = #2.  You’re welcome for the mental picture.

Enjoy your day & may you hide your treasures well,
{d&k}
